Rockin' New Year Hop - $300 Grand Prize

Chance to win a Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet plus $300 Gift Card

I no longer make New Year’s resolutions. Every year I used to create this psychological test that I’d invariably fail. Perhaps it’s because resolutions are whimsical desires framed with negative words like lose, stop or quit.
About ten years ago, around the same time I met my husband, I changed the way I viewed life. Now I focus on what is most important, how to improve, and living authentically without regrets.

For me, I write down my top three priorities and I’m not afraid to say “no” to something not on my list.
Here are my top three for 2013:

3. Connect with readers. Since I’m currently promoting the upcoming release of my paranormal romance, Kindred of the Fallen, connecting with readers is vital for me. I also enjoy making real connections with people. I want readers to get to know me and I want to hear their thoughts on anything from my book to their favorite TV show.
2. Make time for my family. My husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan, so it’s pretty easy to be a good wife right now, lol. I put together care packages with a few naughty pics, video our six-month-old son so hubby doesn’t feel as if he’s missing out on everything, and drop what I’m doing to chat when he calls unless what I’m doing involves the baby.

1. Be a good mother. Ultimately, if I can be a good mother, I’ll have absolutely no regrets.
I hope everyone has a fantastic New Year. And remember to live with no regrets!

One lucky reader will win an e-ARC of Kindred of the Fallen & a $10 gift card from Amazon or BN. The winner will be chosen using random.org on 7 Jan. To win my prize please enter on the rafflecopter.

To be eligible to win the GRAND PRIZE below you MUST leave your e-mail address in your comment!

Carrie Ann ,the host of the hop, will pick 1 winner from all comments across all participating blogs on 7 Jan.  Everything except for the heavy swag is international.

What are your top three priorities? Do you live without regrets? How do you plan to ring in the New Year?

KINDRED OF THE FALLEN
Kindred Chronicles, Book 1

Serenity’s soul-reading ability lets her easily create custom tattoos. Everything else in her life is a struggle, from trying to make it work with her best friend, Evan, to nightmares and visions that make her question her sanity.

Then she meets a man who sharpens her craving for something more, but her commitment to Evan means nothing beyond sparks can exist between them.

Cyrus has been watching Serenity, preparing to claim her as his Blessed mate—the other half of a split soul that, once reunited, is his only chance to break the curse that plagues his people.

One moment, Serenity is confronted by armed militants firing questions she cannot answer. The next, she is safe in Cyrus’s arms, reveling in his burning kiss…and learning she isn’t even human. She is Kindred, blessed with preternatural powers, cursed to suffer the twin horrors of the blood rage and the dark veil.

Their union is the greatest hope for redemption in a thousand years, but not all Kindred want to be saved. A dark secret could snuff out their lives before love has a chance to unite them…and redeem the Kindred for all time.

Warning: Contains a headstrong soul-reading tattoo artist, a sexy alpha hero who knows how to get what he wants, adrenaline-packed action, and explosive sex that literally shatters bulletproof glass.

  94. My top priorities are recovering from this back surgery and getting my life and career back. That's three! I spent New Year's Eve with my husband at home, and I think everyone has regrets. It's just whether or not you choose to dwell on them, and I do not. What's done is done!

  109. Well of course I managed to leave the comment in the wrong place LOL Nutbunny brain at work here, although that probably fits well with the three top priorities for me; 1) Laugh, 2) Read some good books, and 3) Laugh some more - whatever happens it goes better with a smile. Thank you for your generosity and Happy New Year.
