Dreaming of Books

HAPPY 2012!

To start the new year off right, I must apologize to my regular readers for disappearing. Life tossed a few obstacles in my path, some expected, others I couldn't have imagined. No easier way to jump back up on the blogging horse than with a giveaway.

    Oooh, I have had numerous dreams of my favorite characters and their worlds several times. Racy and not racy! LOL It was really fun to be apart of that world in the dream state. As we all know dreams are so real and quite unpredictable. I'm going to leave it at that. ;)

  14. The Christmas, after finishing HP4, I dreamt about Harry on a broomstick with Hedgwig beside him. He was apparently on a mission (not sure what it was) and he was reading a message of "things to accomplish". I LOVED IT!!

    I've just finished Blackveil from Kirsten Britain two days ago and i dreamed i was in this universe to shout at the king that he was stupid, that he should accept estoria that he should fight for karigan and i wanted to hang the traitors^^;;( now i will have to wait again several years to know what will happen so many night to come to try how to make him admit his feeling)

I don't remember most of my dreams, which is really annoying by the way, but I remember that when I got to love reading, I dreamed about Harry Potter. I hated how the fifth book ended because Sirius was one of my favorites, and before I fell asleep, I was thinking about an alternative ending - and I just dreamed it :) It was a great dream :)

    I have read a lot of books that I loved, but I don't think I've dreamed about any of them. Not that I can remember anyways. But when I read a book I really like I will start daydreaming about the characters and making up my own scenarios in my head. This usually leads me to space out and not listen in class so I try not to think about my favorite books too much, or else I'll get distracted and wouldn't get any work done. :D

    I've found that when a story takes place in a location I'm familiar with, I'm much more likely to be transported into the story and have dreams about the novel and character. The last time it happened was when I was in college in Pittsburgh and read Michael Chabon's books "Wonder Boys" and "Mysteries of Pittsburgh" - both really came to life for me because I could vividly picture all the places and events they depicted!
